Sibling Keeps The Other From Crying

Puppy to Adult

Tiffany the Golden Retriever

Tiffany's mom says: Tiffany is a golden retriever who was bred and trained to be an assistance dog for Canine Companions for Independence. As a volunteer puppy raiser, my family and I brought Tiffany home when she was eight weeks old. As she was the third puppy we had raised for CCI, we thought we had seen it all until our new girl slipped while playing with our black lab and broke her leg at only nine weeks of age! We think that two months of being carried around and cuddled (in a pink cast!) helped Tiffany grow up to be one of the sweetest and most loving dogs ever. Her leg healed perfectly and we cried when Tiffany, at 18 months old, had to return to CCI to complete her training. In November, Tiffany graduated from the program and, although I miss her every day, I am very proud of her; she now works as a service dog for someone in her new family who truly benefits from her unconditional love!

It can buy you a House,
But not a Home.

It can buy you a Bed,
But not Sleep.

It can buy you a Clock,
But not Time.

It can buy you a Book,
But not Knowledge.

It can buy you a Position,
But not Respect.

It can buy you Medicine,
But not Health.

It can buy you Blood,
But not Life.

So you see money isn't everything. The best things in life can't be bought, and often we destroy ourselves trying!

I tell you all this because I am your Friend, and as your Friend I want to take away your needless pain and suffering...

So send me all your money and I will suffer for you.

A truer Friend than me you will never find.

Judge orders shoplifters to wear “I'm a thief” sign

Shoppers entering a Wal-Mart Super Center in Alabama got a reminder not to try anything funny: Two shoplifters stood outside with signs reading "I am a thief; I stole from Wal-Mart."

Attalla City Judge Kenneth Robertson Jr. ordered the two people to wear the signs for four hours each during two successive Saturdays.

"The only comments we've heard so far have been positive," said store manager Neil Hawkins. "Most of them thought it was a good thing."

Hawkins noted how embarrassing it would be for the public to see someone who got caught shoplifting. "Maybe they'll think twice about doing it," he said.

Joke for the day

The minister just had all of his remaining teeth pulled and new dentures were being made.

The first Sunday, he only preached 10 minutes.
The second Sunday, he preached only 20 minutes.
But, on the third Sunday he preached 1 hour 25 minutes.

When asked about this by some of the congregation, he responded this way:

"The first Sunday, my gums were so sore it hurt to talk.
The second Sunday, my dentures were hurting a lot.
The third Sunday, I accidentally grabbed my wife's dentures and I could not stop talking!"
